Recording of my e-portfolio presentation
Self Evaluation - 21/05/2021
I found it really difficult to present both the reflective commentaries in the allocated time. No matter how I organised and rehearsed I couldn't discuss everything I hoped and could barely keep to the max end of the 5-7 min timescale! I found myself talking very quickly to get through everything and perhaps stumbled across a few of the slides, especially towards the end. Listening to other presentations it may have been better to have talked through the assessment criteria and then reflected upon how these were achieved within my reflective commentaries? I also strayed from the pecha kucha presentation slides by perhaps talking too long over the final infographics - maybe these should have been single images that I could have skipped through quicker and may have helped me keep more on time? I was provided some feedback to perhaps mention how I may put my you choose - creativity bank project into action so will look at this during the final week to add it before summative.

The contents: Another amazing body of work! It is professionally presented and the contents are strong and consistent! You made the visuals very clear and delivered it well. Your core value (UDL: inclusivity) is super clear throughout your learning activity and learning environment. I also really love your ‘you choose’ project - it is a wonderful idea and I do hope Rave can follow up on it!
The visuals: The slides are viewer friendly and graphically well considered. I really like the first slides from your learning activity journal – I think it’s difficult to create a graph that can say it all, but it is so clear that you don’t have say much. I think you are really strong at gathering information and summarised it really well.
The delivery: Personally, I think that creating contents/contexts and research is a different matter to delivery. Even if someone has an excellent body of work, if they can’t deliver, it can be a disappointment. This was not the case with your presentation! If I could steal one of your talents, it would be your ‘delivery’ skills! You had a good pace, were engaging and linked in with the contents of the slides without just reading them out.

Emily this was a brilliant presentation and it is a shame it was only for 5-6 minutes. You have so many really good ideas and practice to share and we would benefit from a longer talk from you. Also we do not get as much of you as a educator because of this short time.
You speak / communicate really well. The Graphics are brilliant to clarify quickly your ideas.
Great observation into reflexive practice of integrating flipped learning into class time.
Add criteria to each area (in your portfolio?) As it was not always clear the integrate/ advocate/ etc… but it was evident you have covered all this and more.
Clear evidence of effectiveness of learning (10-15 slides + student feedback).
Great reflection on the outcome of student feedback and how it is directive moving forward. Honestly you should be in senior management. We need you!
Great loop of material use on Aula for reflective learning
You are super organised and it really shows that your students absorbed the information arguably more and because of this are arguably better at navigating their learning resources. Your USP is not just subject knowledge but organisation and clarity so important for learning.
Aula Color coding is a brilliant idea for UDL - I am going to pinch this!
Fantastic suggestion of use of VR technology to help with inclusivity (Sri Lanka trip).
You finished on a high with this presentation. Well done! I have learned so much from you and it has been such a pleasure being in your Triad!
