I'm Emily
I am a fashion designer specialising in offering creative support to young fashion brand start-ups. I have been teaching part time for over ten years and enjoy extending my creativity into inventing new teaching practises. I’m excited to explore this further during the PGCert. The thing I enjoy most when teaching is sharing my skills and real-life work with students to bring class room experiences to life. The most challenging thing I find is balancing teaching with planning/admin – I have a constant desire to update and re-brand my content while keeping things fresh and relevant. Outside of work I am also a mother to two children, aged 4 and 6, as well as two dogs and a pet turkey! My husband is of Swiss/Hungarian origin and works offshore! I was raised on a farm in Cambridgeshire and after years of living in London and traveling extensively for work and pleasure, I moved back to the countryside to raise my family in a barn my husband and I converted. Outside of work you will find me outdoors; walking, bee keeping, crafting, exploring - always on the search for a new adventure and challenge!
